Our Budget..
As The Green Machine, we believe in complete transparency. Operating a world-class robotics program requires more than just passion, it requires an investment in our students and technology. Here is a breakdown of how we allocate our ~$40,000 operating budget to turn our mission into a reality.
The Robot:
Building a competitive, high-performance robot requires precision tools and robust materials. This fund allows our subteams to experiment with advanced components, maintain a safe workshop, and build a practice field to sharpen our skills. By investing in quality parts and facilities, we ensure that every student has the hands-on experience necessary to master real-world engineering challenges.
Competition:
More than 40% of our budget is spent just making sure students can set foot on the field. These expenses cover our registration fees for the two regional events and our pre-qualified spot at the FRC World Championship. These competitions are the lifeblood of the team, where our technical skill is put to test, our leadership is pushed to the max, and our commitment to our Core Values are practiced.
Mission:
As a Hall of Fame team, our impact extends far beyond the robot. This portion of our budget fuels our advocacy for youth in robotics and community presence. It covers our team apparel, which builds our unified identity, as well as the presentation materials we use to lobby for STEM funding in Washington D.C. and mentor younger teams locally.
